Fire and Explosion Hazards: As with any organic material, contact with strong oxidizers may cause fire or explosion. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Reactivity Data: Stable. The AQUABOND 85™ THERMOPLASTIC is non-reactive and non-corrosive. It is stable at temperatures expected under normal applications.
Conditions to avoid: Flame or other sources of ignition, combustion sources Incompatibility: Strong acids, strong oxidizers, strong reducing agents Decomposition or Byproducts: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide Hazardous Polymerization: WILL NOT OCCUR ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Health Hazard Data: Room temperature routes of entry: skin, ingestion; elevated temperature routes of entry: inhalation, eyes, skin. No chronic effects identified. No irritant effects of eyes, skin and gastrointestinal. No identified medical conditions are known to be aggravated by exposure. Always use ventilation when heating. The ingredients in AQUABOND 85 do not have any known listed occupational exposure levels which apply.
NFPA Hazard Rating: Health Fire Reactivity Special
Exposure Signs and Symptoms: Heated vapors will target eyes and skin. Eye redness, skin dermatitis, dizziness, nausea, vomiting may occur with prolonged exposure to heated vapors in non-ventilated conditions. Emergency/First Aid Procedures: If inhaled, remove to fresh air; if contact with skin or eyes, flush repeatedly with water; Carcinogenicity: No ingredients in the AQUABOND 85™ are listed/suspected carcinogens by the National Testing Program, the International Agency for Research on Cancer, or OSHA. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Safe Handling and Use: Wear Suitable protective clothing. Glasses or goggles and nitrile or neoprene protective gloves are required. Additional equipment may include a uniform or apron. No respiratory protection or ventilation is required under normal handling conditions at STP. When heated, vapors should be ventilated away from workspace.
Spills or Releases: Absorb with non-combustible material and dispose as non-hazardous/municipal waste. Storage and Packaging: Keep away from heat. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area or cabinet. Isolate from incompatibles such as corrosives, oxidizers, or strong reducing agents. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Regulatory Measures: No levels of listed materials exist which the State of California would require warning (Proposition 65). The AQUABOND 85™ is a non-VOC by EPA method 24. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Waste Management: When emulsified, the AQUABOND 85™ THERMOPLASTIC is completely biodegradable.
